Nilesh Kachoriwala

If you happen to be around M-cube mall near chakli (bird) circle in the late afternoon or evening and your taste-buds start nudging you for something chatpata, I know the options are plenty, but one place that I usually like to head for is Nilesh ki bhel-kachori.

There are few joys better than standing at a roadside thela and enjoying mouth-n-nose watering chaats, in this case, kachoris. If you have any aversion to standing, go ahead park your bike, prop yourself up and enjoying Nileshbhai’s delicious kachoris.

Watching the guy preparing the kachori, is close to witnessing art in its making. With a piece of paper in one hand, he goes about mixing the ingredients so deftly that before you can blink twice there is already a piece of the kachori in your mouth. The kachoris are tall and come in the regular tikkha, medium and meetha varieties. While some struggle devouring even the meetha versions, the tikkha versions have lived up to my expectations almost 85-90% of times.

A personal poll

Kachoris: Excellent

Portioning: It’s a Kachori!

Service: Superfast

Ambience: Roadside

Value for Money: At Rs.10 a piece, excellent
